These terms govern your use of the MOE GO mobile applications and moego.world. By creating an account or booking a vehicle, you agree to them.
Last updated: September 2026 · Applies to Ghana and all MOE GO operating markets
1.The service
MOE GO is a technology platform that connects people and businesses who need goods moved ("clients") with independent drivers operating cargo trikes (aboboyaa/pragya) and small trucks (Kia Bongo class) ("drivers"). MOE GO does not itself provide transport services, does not employ drivers, and is not a carrier or freight forwarder. The transport contract for each trip is between the client and the driver; MOE GO provides the marketplace, pricing, dispatch, communication and payment-collection tools.
2.Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract.
Accounts are registered with a phone number (SMS verification) or email. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account — keep your OTP codes and password private.
Provide accurate information. Accounts with false names, numbers or vehicle details may be suspended.
One account per person. MOE GO may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, unsafe behaviour or breach of these terms, with notice where practicable.
3.Bookings, fares and payment
Fares are estimated up front in your local currency from the trip distance and vehicle class, and are shown before you confirm. The final fare may be adjusted where the actual trip materially differs from what was booked (for example a significantly different route agreed on site).
Payment methods depend on your market and may include cash and mobile money (MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Wave, Telecel Cash, and others). The chosen method is shown on the booking.
Mobile money trips: MOE GO collects the fare from the client and settles with the driver weekly, minus the platform commission shown to drivers in the app.
Cash trips: the client pays the driver directly. The platform commission on cash trips is settled between the driver and MOE GO separately.
Fares are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Where legally required, MOE GO will collect and remit applicable levies.
Waiting time beyond a reasonable loading window may incur a surcharge agreed between client and driver.
4.Promotions
Promo codes are issued at MOE GO's discretion, may be limited by market, expiry date, number of uses, fare cap, or first-booking-only conditions, and are validated at booking time. Codes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn where abuse is detected (for example, multiple accounts created to reuse a first-booking code).
5.Cancellations
Clients may cancel free of charge while the booking is still waiting for a driver ("pending").
Once a driver has accepted and is travelling to the pickup, repeated or last-minute cancellations may attract a cancellation fee to compensate the driver's time and fuel.
Drivers who repeatedly accept jobs and fail to arrive may be suspended.
6.Cargo rules and prohibited goods
MOE GO moves ordinary commercial and household goods: timber, concrete blocks, cement, harvested produce, household items, scrap metal, car parts and similar loads, within the vehicle's stated payload (600 kg trike / 1,400 kg truck).
Not accepted: people as passengers, live animals, cash or bullion, illegal goods, weapons or ammunition, explosives, hazardous chemicals or fuel in bulk, perishables without suitable packaging, and goods whose transport would breach the law of the operating country.
The client must pack and load cargo safely and declare anything fragile, heavy or unusual in the booking instructions.
The driver may refuse a load that is overweight, unsafe, illegal or materially different from the booking.
Clients are responsible for any permits required for their goods.
7.Driver terms
Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of MOE GO. Drivers control their own hours and may accept or decline any job.
Drivers must hold a valid licence for their vehicle class, keep the vehicle roadworthy and insured as required by law, and complete identity verification (national ID such as the Ghana Card) before going online.
The platform commission (shown in the driver app, currently 15%) is deducted from mobile-money fares before weekly payout, or invoiced against cash trips.
Payouts are made weekly by mobile money or bank transfer to the driver's registered account, with a trip-by-trip statement.
Drivers must not solicit off-platform payment on app-booked trips, discriminate against clients, or carry passengers on cargo trips.
8.Insurance and liability
Clients are encouraged to insure valuable goods in transit. MOE GO is working with insurers to offer optional goods-in-transit cover per trip; where purchased, cover terms will be shown at booking.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MOE GO is not liable for loss or damage to cargo, personal injury, or indirect losses (lost profit, delays) arising from trips, except where caused by MOE GO's own proven negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Any claim against a driver or client is subject to the transport contract between them.
Report incidents within 48 hours via in-app support with photos and the booking reference.
Pickup PIN verification (where enabled) is the proof-of-delivery baseline — share it only when your goods are actually loaded.
9.Safety and conduct
Treat drivers, clients and support staff with respect. Harassment, violence or discrimination leads to immediate removal.
In-app calls between client and driver are enabled only after a booking is accepted; numbers are not shared with other users. Do not misuse contact details.
Follow loading safety: secure loads, do not exceed payload, no riding on cargo beds.
MOE GO may record support interactions for quality and dispute resolution.
Trip data: pickup and drop-off addresses and coordinates, cargo type, fare, payment method, timestamps, trip status history.
Device data: push-notification token, app version, device model — used to deliver booking alerts.
Driver data: additionally vehicle type and plate, identity documents for verification, payout account details, online status.
Location: only when you tap the GPS button or navigate — we do not continuously track your device in the background.
11.Privacy: how we use data
Matching clients with nearby available drivers and completing trips.
Sending booking status notifications (push/SMS) to the matched client and driver.
Computing driver earnings, commission and weekly payouts.
Fraud prevention, safety incident handling, and legal compliance.
Improving coverage, pricing and reliability (aggregated, de-identified analysis).
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your trip history for third-party advertising.
12.Privacy: sharing, retention and your rights
Between the matched pair: once a driver accepts a booking, the client sees the driver's name, vehicle and phone number, and the driver sees the client's pickup details and phone number — for that trip only.
Service providers: hosting and database (Google Firebase, EU region), SMS delivery, push notifications, and mobile-money aggregators — each under contract and limited to what's needed.
Authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect safety.
Retention: trip records are kept for accounting, tax and dispute purposes as required by law (typically up to 7 years); account data is deleted or anonymised within 90 days of a verified deletion request, subject to those legal holds.
Your rights: access, correct, export or delete your data by contacting support. Marketing messages are opt-out at any time.
13.Contact and governing law
Questions, incidents, data requests: WhatsApp support (linked in the app) or via moego.world.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana for trips booked in Ghana, and by the law of the operating country for trips booked in other markets. Disputes will first be handled through MOE GO support mediation; unresolved disputes go to the competent courts of the operating country.
MOE GO may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
